AEYLíN collagen comes from wild Icelandic cod, Gadus morhua, caught in open water around Iceland. The skin, once treated as a by product of the fillet trade, is rich in Type I collagen, the same type found in human skin, bone and tendon. 

The skins are frozen soon after filleting and arrive at our production site still frozen. Keeping them cold from the fishery to the facility protects the freshness and quality of the protein before anything else happens to it. Only then are the skins gently hydrolysed with food grade enzymes into small peptides, milled to 2,000 Daltons, which is small enough to dissolve fully in water and be absorbed with ease.

Innovation is how we honour that origin. The result is a pure, neutral, easily dissolved powder, clean from source to shelf.
